We know the world only through the human mind’s capabilities of perception. Our reality is based upon the limitations of what our brains can understand and take in. This means that we are each viewing the universe from the lens of our own experience. We cannot comprehend the universe as a whole based on the limitations of the human brain. It is something that we feel when we look up at the night sky and feel a tug in our hearts, or when we become mesmerized by the ebb and flow of the ocean waves. We can feel its entirety, even if our logical minds can’t quite analyze it.
If we are all viewing life through the lens of our own experiences, then we are creating a collectively agreed upon reality. In other words, life can be thought of as an illusion. I know that that was a lot so bare with me here for a second because this might just liberate you. When you look at a tree or a cloud, you are not judging it for it’s shape. Even if it is a little bent, it is just a piece of nature to you. Perfect in all of its curves and edges. If we are all one, then why should the way we view ourselves be any different?
We tend to think of ourselves as a being that is living in space, but space is also in us. Where does the earth come from? The same space, or nothingness, that contains the whole universe. Stardust that resulted from explosions in the galaxy still floats through us today. So when you look at something that is much bigger than you like the night sky or the ocean, do not feel small. There is no place where the universe stops and you start. It is one whole circle.
When we practice looking into ourselves, we find all of the answers that we need because underneath our monkey mind, there is a deep rooted knowingness where all things intersect. Listen to that voice inside, because when you are in alignment with your spirit, your choices are coming from a place of love and knowingness.
Your body will always signal you with what you need in each moment. If you feel drained or off, notice who or what came into your experience. If you feel connected, inspired, and energized, incorporate more of that experience into your life. Just like how you get a stomach ache when there is something wrong for you in your food, you will notice your energy levels change depending on what situation you are in. Pay close attention to that. Your life energy is precious and needs to be nurtured.
